Be aware. Awareness is the meditation that helps you control blood sugar level too. Be very aware of the food you eat. Knowledge of the food groups is a vital one. Then you realize how different foods can play with your blood sugar levels.

 

1. CARBOHYDRATES --A COMMON SOURCE OF ENERGY:

 
Watch out for this friend and Keep a safe distance from it whenever required. 
Any bungling over quality & quantity of carbs will impact your blood sugar badly. Rice, Roti, Potatoes are carb rich.

Whole grains, fruits and vegetables are healthy carbs.

Food and drinks with added sugar are unhealthy carbs.

 
2. PROTEINS:

 
Just as those models with super toned bodies keep this friend close, so can you if you know the limits and what else they come with.The proteins build body, repair cells and may keep blood sugar steady.

Paneer, dals, eggs, pulses, fish are high in protein.

 
3. FIBRE:

 
Fibre is a true loving friend which fills you up and makes you crave less. It helps digestion and blood sugar control.

Tomatoes, cauliflower, spinach, bhindi, capsicum are rich in fibre and nutrients.

 
4. FATS--A TEMPTING FRIEND:

 
Your body needs only a little of these high energy foods as a little can go a long way.

Nuts and seeds are good fats.

Fried foods, Cheese, Butter, Ghee etc. may be evil.

Avoid Evil if evil is as evil does.
